DEAL ANNOUNCED FOR CLASSIC MARVEL ANIMATED SERIES

We are delighted to announce a multi-territory DVD deal with Jetix Consumer Products, the licensing division of leading kids entertainment company Jetix Europe, for classic Marvel Entertainment animated series.

The deal gives Liberation Entertainment exclusive DVD distribution rights for popular Marvel character based animated series including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer and Spider Woman. Territories covered by the deal are the UK and Ireland, Benelux, Germany as well as German-speaking Austria and Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

BVA AWARD WIN - MARCH 2008
We are proud to announce our second consecutive win at the British Video Association Awards. Following on from last years' success with Ian Wright - It Shouldn't Happen to a Footballer, in April 2008 we scooped the Marketing Initiative of the Year - Sport and Fitness for our DVD Ricky Hatton - A Life Story. Our combination of a strong TV, print, outdoor and online campaign meant we beat off stiff competition to take the top prize. We were the outright winner and the judges commented that we created "a thoroughly professional campaign that made its budget punch above its weight with particularly imaginative use of on-line activity. A small team with impressive results put this in the top five best selling sports DVD's of the year. This was a KNOCKOUT winner" Ricky Hatton - A Life Story is the biggest selling boxing DVD to date.

PROTÉGÉ - 18TH APRIL CINEMA RELEASE
Protégé is everything you want to know about drugs, but never knew. The film tells of a well-intentioned narcotics agent, Nick (Daniel Wu) deep undercover in the heart of Hong Kong's lucrative heroin trade. He is forced to deal with the hypocrisy and despair in a life of drugs and crime, as he plays protégé to one of the key players of the game, "Banker" (Andy Lau). In the eight years he has been infiltrating the heroin industry Nick has amassed enough evidence to indict Banker, but has just received orders to remain undercover in an attempt to expose the identity of the man behind Banker in order to bring down the entire organisation. However as Nick becomes more embroiled with Banker's craft and is increasingly entrusted with his confidences, he finds himself corrupted by the easy money and new found power.

Protégé has been nominated for 15 awards at the 2008 Hong Kong Film Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Action Cinematography and Best Art Director.

DEAL INKED TO DISTRIBUTE ‘WOLVERINE’ FOR DVD AND VOD – OCTOBER 2008

We are delighted to announce our deal with First Serve Toonz for the acquisition of the DVD and VOD rights to a 26 part animated series based on the iconic Marvel characters Wolverine and the X-Men. The multi-tiered deal for one of Marvel’s most popular characters includes confirmation that the BBC has acquired the television rights for the UK.

Our Managing Director, Spencer Pollard, commented that “Wolverine and the X-Men is a huge franchise and with the Wolverine movie planned for 2008, this should secure huge interest for our DVD releases. With the strong interest in the show from the leading broadcasters around the world, we can ensure that our TV sales team can work strategically with our UK and International DVD sales teams to maximise the returns for everyone.”

NEW U.K. DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH SONY DADC – OCTOBER 2007

We are pleased to announce the signing of a new deal which sees Sony DADC become our exclusive distribution partner within the U.K.

Our Managing Director, Spencer Pollard, explained the reasons behind the move away from Pinnacle Vision; “As our business has rapidly grown over the past 16 months and we have aggressively acquired new titles and have concentrated on full price releases we feel that Sony DADC is going to be a great long term home for our distribution business. A lot of other successful labels have switched to DADC this year and their set up is well equipped to help grow our business. I look forward to working with DADC’s team to ensure a smooth transition and a real ramp up with our Quarter 4 activities in the coming months and into the next year.
